Nick Cave

The other day (14th of october) in Amsterdam I saw Nick Cave for the first time in years and years. His energy, wit and absolute understanding of being an artist was wonderfully conveyed. He is the type of artist that just has what it takes to carry any of the good stuff in his repertoire and just proceed to make even more. The show was a mix of songs, Bunny Munro readings and some rather funny casual conversations with members of the audience. "Just shout out your questions" he said "...we'll play any song, as long as it is on the setlist". A very good show revealing his multitalented capability to perfectly perform his 'classic songs' and improvise with the audience, even when they asked stupid questions. A show I highly recommend, although I can't seem to find any tour date information on his site. A famous quote by a friend of mine comes to mind: "Nick Cave, oh Lord may I die beneath his fist".
