For the International Film Festival Rotterdam we provide and power the digital video library. This system includes the entire programme catalogue on a fast on-demand video service of some 1800 films at full frame rate and resolution. New features for the 2010 edition include the ability to host multi format video (up to and including HD),
and inclusion of numerous festival editions at once, so that the system functions as a cumulative archive of all programme titles shown over the last four years. This software is true cross platform with a readily changeable front end to suit other organizations and reveal full or partial functionality.
Industry professionals, accredited guest and other festival delegates can log in using their personal registration. User generated feedback and requests to the filmmakers or producers were also handled in the same interface and relayed back to the IFFR organisation.
The video lounge (pictured above) comfortably catered for 40 clients on wide screen monitors. In addition to the lounge, wifi zones made the system available to a few other parts of the building, serving to up to 160 clients at any one time. During the eleven day event the servers averaged some 1450 film views per day.

robust, easy to use interface
Here an image of the film page in the user interface of the digital video library. There is a page like this of each film in the programme (some 650 titles) most of which were available for video on demand viewing.
