Zeger Reyers

For the recent opening of the Eating the Universe exhibition in the Kunsthalle in Düsseldorf we were lucky enough to be involved in the team supporting Zeger Reyers and his Rotating Kitchen installation. During the opening we made extensive photo and video registration of this quite unusual and thought provoking work.
The exhibition runs until the end of february 2010, and the kitchen shall continue to rotate for the duration. During the opening a very well flavored selection of snacks were first prepared in the same kitchen and later served to the audience. It seemed to comfort them before and during the performance and while the very brutal rotating kitchen machine pulverized almost all of its contents to a pulp, which slowly but surely spilled out onto the floor.
